Ebony Mortar & Pestle
Vintage—Hand-turned ebony mortar and pestle with banding detail. Mortar is 6” tall, 2.625” diameter at mouth. Pestle is 3.5” long. Lip has a couple small dings and natural discoloration of the wood (see photos). Mortar interior and pestle grinding end show little sign of use. Saw kerf marks on base show it was hand-turned. Unusual and rare piece. Very good condition.
