Hand-Woven Sewing Basket with Green & Gold Detail, 8" diameter
Vintage—Hand-woven basket of reeds, bamboo, or cane—very similar to Chinese sewing basket material. Decorative green and gold dyed grasses woven vertically on all sides. Nearly 8” diameter at widest point, approximately 4” tall with lid. Colors on top have faded due to age—the interior is still bright, showing the original color (see photos). It leans slightly to one side (see photos). Adorable and unusual shape—I almost kept this one.
